We ordered this for our 70's/80's party. It was used in a small area in our basement for a dance floor. It gave perfect lighting for a dark space. We complemented it with a red light on the other side of the basement used for conversation. It is a little noisy when used alone, but around the music it was not noticeable. I would recommend it for a house party, but not for anything professional.
