Definitely lives up to the deluxe classification! The glove itself is leather (smells like rabbit pelt), the plating painted and sanded copper for a tarnished sort of effect, and the blades metallic (looks also to be painted copper, to make them silver) so clinking them together sounds very authentic. The blades are not sharp at all (they seem more like being cut out of a thick, flat sheet than, say, tapering like butter knives) and are not pointed, so they are relatively 'safe.' The fingertips (beside the thumb) are cut, so if your fingers are long, the last joint may be exposed underneath the plates, and there is a hole in the palm (both a plus if you like being able to feel while wearing gloves). Does seem a little big, especially for those of us with small hands, but is still managable to some degree. A little heavy because of all the metal, but definitely the best if you're looking for authenticity!
