My son selected this to wear for Halloween. From the image the mask and spikes look to be of solid moulded tpye plastic. They were more of a soft latex which made the spikes not very obvious and the mask was essentially flat. I needed to put holes in to to tie it around his head to give it some shape. It was also folded awkwardly in it's packet which did not help either. He did love his costume and it was very different from everyone elses, it just isn't as impressive as the image on the pack.
