imgalt,itemname

Horror films are meant to strike fear in the hearts of viewers and have been around for many years. Their plots generally include a central villain and involve a theme of death. Horror movies have changed throughout history, while early films were largely based on classic novels such as Dracula and Frankenstein, newer films often draw their inspiration from real life. Horror films were once thought of as violent, low budget films but many film studios and respected directors have had huge success with horror movies. Famous directors of horror films include Alfred Hitchcock, Francis Ford Coppola, and Roman Polanski among many others. Horror films often times will incorporate components of other genres such as thrillers, fantasy, and science fiction.
