Plan to wear something under the dress, when the ruffles are raised, a see-through mesh can expose underwear and skin. Plus the black slip we choose eliminated the itchy stitching. We added a shoulder piece to the one side to meet "school dress code." But it only added to the cuteness of the dress. Very unique amongst the witches, ghosts and other princesses. Worth the $, best price I found online. I ordered the 10-12 for my 10 year old and it fit perfect. It's cold here when the sun goes down, not a great choice for treat-or-treating, my daughter wore some sweats underneath but was not happy about it!
