This is going to be perfect for trick or treat, and my daughter will use it after halloween for playing princess dress up. It runs large. Had to send back the smallest child size for 3T-4T. My daughter is 40inches and 39lbs.

Size XSmall is so big, that my 5 year old average size daughter cannot wear it....so order size down. Also, I received an defective item (shoulder strap was missing on one shoulder). I will have to replace it.

A big THANKS to all other who suggested you to order one size smaller. I generally always order a size bigger with costume outfits but no need to order a size up in this costume. The costume is little long but still ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS. The costume shines and shimmers and is stretchy and comfortabe. My daughter is 5 years old and is about to got to Disney World as her favorite princess - Ariel! No reservations, this IS the perfect costume for any little mermaid princess.

The costume is really cute and seems to be well-made but it runs really large. I ordered an XS (4-6) and it dwarfed my child. I did expect to have to alter it some as she is on the small end of 4 but this was huge. I will try the toddler 3-4 and hope for the best! Cute costume.
