I bought this for my husband as his "birthday hat" for his 40th birthday party - he LOVED it! Wore it all night, when people weren't stealing it off his head and wearing it themselves! It was very sturdy - no feathers fell out, although some were pulled out by people wanting souvenirs... it was a great deal for the price! I was super pleased with the quality.
