I bought this for my son for his 4th birthday. I had originally purchased the muscle chested version of this for 4-6 year old's but it was huge for my 4 year old. This toddler one will not last him long but at least it fits him now and not in a year from now. If your kid is taller than 38" I would maybe stay away from it because the legs will rise up to high waters. The poly/flannel is nice and soft but very thin and flimsy. I already had to repair the shoulder seam. Overall though the costume is perfect for him. The cowl is actually well constructed and fits him well. It won't last too long but what do we expect with mass produced stuff from China these days. Don't pay more than $20 for it though. In comparison my childhood batman cape is still used by my son when we visit grandma's house and that thing is 30 years old and still has a ton of crime fighting life in it, and I can bet it didn't cost more than $5 bucks when it was purchased or possibly made by my aunt. Honestly in the end it is about his reaction to it and he loves it so it's aces in my book too. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 3.

My Toddler is 3 years old and he wants to wear this costume every day and pretend he is Batman. Since it is a standard halloween costume it is not made for so much use. There is one seam in the back that started to come undone. I did a quick fix on it and everything else is holding up great. The legs are a little short on him which is fine. It means he won't be tripping on it. If you have a really tall toddler, it might look a bit funny, though. The hat/mask is a bit small because my little guy has a huge head, but it should fit most little boys. For the price, it has been a great buy. Hours of fun!
