My son bought this for Halloween. He won third prize in the funniest costume in his school. He found it a little hot with the hat on so i cut around the netting leaving the top attached and secured it inside the hat so he could see out a little better. Now when he wants to cover his face he can but also has the option to have an open area if needed. Was worried also about the trick or treating and its safety as it was hard to see out of in the dark. Thinking it might be a good idea to have options for kids to have the ability to open and close the face area for safety with any costume. Otherwise he loved it and it was very popular with his friends.
