Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is one of the most popular thriller novels of the past century. The character of Frankenstein has been portrayed countless times in movies, and both adult Halloween costumes and kids Halloween costumes feature the scary, yet lovable monster. Like batman costumes and spiderman costumes, Frankenstein is a favorite character to consider. What many do not know, however, is that Shelley was a prolific writer with many other works. Furthermore, her parents and her husband were authors as well.
