The 2010 Teen Choice Awards will air tonight at 8PM on FOX. Thanks to the cyber world, every teen already knows the outcome of tonight’s show which was taped yesterday. For us at Costume SuperCenter we love to see who won but we also love to see what everyone wore. We couldn’t be more pleased that host Katy Perry made 7 costume changes throughout the show. Furthermore, this years Teen Choice Awards features movies and performers like Twilight and Lady Gaga who have created tremendous Halloween costume trends.
Katy chose a Rocker Costume for her opening number. Then throughout the night she had a blast with the cast from Glee doing skits dressed in a Geek Costume, a Cheerleader Uniform and a Prom Queen costume. She also made her tribute to the vampire world in a Goth get-up inspired by Twilight. Katy was spreading peace and love as a barefoot Hippie-chick when she accepted her Choice Single surfboard for California Gurls. For vampire costume inspiration, look no further than the vampires who dominated the Teen Choice awards. For film, Twilight won in all 11 categories for which it was nominated. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart cleaned up with 4 surfboards each. Sexy Werewolf Taylor Lautner was honored with two for Choice Movie Actor and Choice Male Hottie. On the small screen Vampire Diaries came away with 7 coveted surfboards.
On the music scene, Lady Gaga was Choice Female Artists and Choice Summer Music Star. When it comes to costumed sensations do we really need to look any farther than Lady Gaga? Lady Gaga reigns supreme in my book for the best and most over the top wardrobe every created. You go girl!
