When Selena was 7 years old she got a role on the children’s show Barney. It was there that she met her best friend and future Disney Channel star, Demi Lovato. She was discovered by the Disney Channel in 2004 and has appeared on Suite Life of Zach and Cody and Hannah Montana before landing the role of Alex Russo on Wizards of Waverly Place in 2007.
Alex Russo is the middle child of 3 kids, all who possess wizard powers thanks to their dad, a former wizard. Their father, Jerry had to give up his magic powers to marry Alex’s mother who is a mortal. On this show, wizards and mortals cannot marry. Alex is known for her fashion sense and for using magic unsupervised witch usually gets her into trouble.
