So, I’m thinking I can’t be the only one to have gone through a stage of “Wrestle Mania” addiction. I can’t say it lasted for a very long time or at least I don’t admit to the true hold time it had on me. I wish I could say it was only the costumes they wore that I enjoyed looking at, but no.

Yes this could mean I’m a little embarrassed to own up to it; I was hooked on a couple of wrestlers! There was just something about the strut Shawn Michaels had and the attitude Stone Cold Steve Austin had. I mean, come on! They made those costumes look good!
Shawn Michaels was a pretty boy that knew it. For a while I found his confidence attractive but as time went by, oh…about 4 years or so, I found it annoying. I guess you could say he had his run on my affection.

Stone Cold Steve Austin, hmmm…he stayed under my skin longer and you might even say I still have a thing for him. There is just something about a man walking around like he owns the joint and drives a beer truck into an arena; climbs out onto the top and pops open a cold one. I swear it must be the redneck in me cause every time he said, “I’ll open up a can of whoop a**” it gave me chills. What can I say? I love a guy whose costume is a leather vest, a pair of Levis and a pair of leather wrestling boots and with attitude. Oh, and the muscles he carried around on him completed his costume. LOL

I think wrestling lost is excitement for me when my fav Stevie wasn’t around any more. This is when I realized Shawn Michaels wasn’t so hot any more either and his costumes seemed to be as silly as I thought he acted. So that I wouldn’t ruin all my fondest memories of going to WrestleMania or Smack Down events and drooling over my favorite two men in the smallest costumes they could get away with wearing and still keep it PG, I gave up watching them on TV and attending events.
I do feel like I should mention some of my favorite costumes these athletes gone astray adorned so proudly though. Take Kelly Kelly for instance. She wore her costume well; green is definitely her color.

And then there are the Monday Night Raw Chicks. They look good in their costumes too. I know my boyfriend, who by the way is still hooked on wrestling and thinks I don’t know when it comes to the hot chicks…he’s not simply thinking “Wow, she is a good athlete and not a hot chick. I would never want to spend time with her.”..I know what he is really thinking and it’s definitely not that they are good athletes! I don’t have the heart to tell him they know who will win before the night of the show…I mean event.

So, now you know one of my most embarrassing secrets. I was hooked on sweaty men that like to wear as little as possible as they threw other mean around. What about you?
