To be honest, our bodies are still recovering from another amazing year at New York Comic Con, but there’s no way we would miss one of our favorite events of the year just to keep our muscles from aching. Okay sure, Halloween season is a wild ride for us, but we support any reason to get dressed up. And the looks the cosplayers wear to Comic Con really show off the creativity of the cosplay community for bringing their favorite fictional characters to life.
Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and there are characters from every corner of pop-culture represented at Comic Con. Respected heroes, despicable villains, wise wizards, elves of all kinds, TV and cartoon characters, video game and book characters. There really is someone for everyone to cosplay. Here are some of the looks we saw while cruising through the crowds on Friday.
If your new to cosplay, and don’t have the confidence to start creating your own cosplays from scratch, you can try to work with ready to wear costume and begin with simple modifications until you develop more customization skills. Every cosplayer starts somewhere. Where will you start?
The floor at New York Comic Con fills in fast with the crowd, so get there early, even though there’s no way to avoid the crowds!
